Much as happened since my last entry, this past summer. My company was sold and I am currently unemployed. I have become a fan of Fox News Watch. I have concluded that perception is all that matters. Media bias is how a person perceives the coverage.

After watching that show for these many months here is what I conclude. Jim Pinkerton is the most intelligent holding a firm position on free speech and the media. Niel Gabler is correct in that the news media is lazy. The question that I would like answered is: How does the big business of media control the news. Can you trust Time magazine to give unbiased opinion on covering stories or reviews that cover Time/Warner?

Jesus is Lord!!!

Recently the Bravo channel has been running a series called The TV Revolution. The series shows the power of television like nothing I have seen. Without TV gay marriage would not be an issue in this country. Like satan himself TV uses deceptive practices to slow change the thinking of Americans.

What I have found to be so interesting is conservatives attitude about the culture war. All around us the culture is adopting leftist attitudes about homosexuality, abortion, sex, etc and the right has no clue about what to do. G.W. mouths the right words but nothing is done. Conservatives are dumbfounded when liberals battle over every judge appointment. Read Pat Buchanan's book The Death of the West to see why this is happening. Also, look back to a time when Christ meant something in our land. Study Jonathon Edwards and other Puritans. Find out what true love was.

I am presently reading a book called The Godward Gaze by Steve McVey. His goal is to get believers to fall in love with our God, as He loves us.

I have discovered that the way to God is Jesus Christ. It is all based upon the work of Jesus Christ. Nothing I can do can put me into right standing with God. I am righteous because of Jesus. If I try to work to achieve right standing with God then I have failed. Grace is God's answer for man's fallen nature. Out of the two (fallen and divine) one new man = a new creation in Christ Jesus.

All Christians are equal heirs in Christ Jesus. What is our guarantee of our inheritance, the promised Holy Spirit. He leads believers into want our inheritance in Christ is. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, by becoming a curse for us. What are we redeemed from to = spiritual death to life (abundant life), sickness to health, poverty to prosperity.

We as believers must claim the inheritance we possess.

The Con Continues:
I see that the church as not yet cleaned up its act. I saw a minister who had a large ministry in the 80's back on the air. Nothing has changed, the con continues. The Church has ignored its responsiblity to keep a clean house. I am not talking about addictions but the greed that has taken control of the church.

I am currently reading a book by John R. Rice called Prayer: Asking and Receiving. This book was written back in the early 40's. Every Christian alive should take the time and read this book. It answers the simple questions about what prayer is and how to get things from God. Why? Because God is a God of answering prayers.

I started reading a new book today, Natural Brilliance by Paul Scheele. It is about overcoming those habits that block our progress to success. I have decided that a study in this area would be beneficial to myself self growth goals. There are two things that I have learned that I have decided to use. The first is to live a life of constant personal improvement. Never stop growing and improving yourself. The second is one definition of insanity is thinking to you continue to to do the same thing and get different results. Change Your Thinking and you will Change Your Life.

Too many people are content to live there life the same old way. I will walk into a bar and the people never change. Just waiting for retirement. The pension - a waste of a valuable life.

The Power of Myth

I define myth as those false core beliefs a person possess' that shape their lives. What is a false belief? Anything taught or believed that says a person must do something to earn right standing with God. According to Romans 5:17 righteousness is a gift. We do not earn a gift. A gift is given by one to another with nothing in exchange. These myths keep people in bondage when Christ came to set each of us free.

What determines these false beliefs:
1) Church
2) Family
3) World
Each of these help continue the lie that right standing with God needs to be earned. How do we change to accepting the truth that right standing with God is a gift?
1) Read the Word - focus on Paul's epistles.
2) Find a fellowship that teaches the truth not error.
3) Be careful of the words you speak - for death and life are in the power of the tongue.

I find that as I look upon the landscape of America I see a culture war that is going to destroy this nation. Barring an act of God I think the barrier will become larger and force the future of this nation to revolution. Will there be blood in the streets? Will the future be French or American Revolution? I believe that French is the way it will end. The next question is who will be our Napoleon? A few will terrorize the masses. A few will bring blood to the streets of this once great nation. A nation founded on principles of Masonry. If you doubt it carefully read the Constitution. It is not a Christian document.

Prepare yourself!!

I started this web log with the intent to voice my opinions about politics, economics and war. If you see my first few days it becomes apparent the I dislike G.W. So after thinking about it for several days I have decided to switch gears.
My new goal on this web log is two-fold. First, To show my Bible study. I have over this past year been studying our Right Standing with God. We cannot work our way to anything with God. Second, I enjoy philosophy so I plan to discuss this topic from time to time.
So with that said, I plan to write more carefully then before with a direction in mind and written out.

I was looking over the latest Fortune 500 list of companies. How telling it is the Wal Mart has become the largest company. Consumerism rules inside the USA. As American's have become debt addicts the country crumbles. Who's fault is it the American's consider spending more important then saving. We as individuals have chosen what is important. No one makes us buy what we can't afford. But interest rates are at an all time low. Soon interest will reverse itself. I too am to blame for the present crisis. I am in the process of paying off my credit cards. This short term outlook on life is known as lower class living.

The baby boom generation is fast approaching retirement age. Without much in the way of savings or second incomes. We are a debt based economy that must begin to pay down our debt and begin saving at least 10% of our income. Another 10% should be given to a charity of your choice. This shows that money is not your first love. This approach to life is know as upper class living.

Perception - What is it? How does it develop?

I listen to the what people discuss and how they discuss it and I conclude that perception is based on a persons belief system. Look at the News Media. A conservative will watch a news show and come away saying the show was "Liberal". A liberal will see nothing biased about the show.

Who is correct? The way a person views the program is based upon the preconceived beliefs before watching the show. If a person believes a show is biased toward a particular viewpoint it will be perceived this way. A person who approaches a show or idea open minded will better understand the concept being presented. The perception of the idea will not hinder the experience.

During the Cold War conservatives fought an enemy who they could see. The evil Communists. But during this whole 50 year conflict a far more evil force was at work destroying the USA. This evil was like the serpent sneeking between the rocks and crevices. This evil's goal was to capture the mind of our children.

The evil used the Media and Education to teach the message. It was successful. Look at our world. Evil is now called good. How can this evil be turned? I think it will be interesting to see.
